Group Workshops & Programs
Be more successful
In your relationships, in your personal and professional life
A personal development or psychotherapy group offers its members opportunities to explore personal issues with the support and participation of people also interested in understanding themselves and the variety of experiences of their lives. Typically, there are around 8 to 12 people in these group sessions.
By participating in workshops you may find opportunities to
- Develop a greater awareness of how you relate to yourself and others
- Discover the patterns you have developed for dealing with your life and decide whether these strategies have outlived their usefulness
- Work with what are sometimes experienced as ‘difficult’ emotions, anger, fear, vulnerability etc.
- Learn ways of giving and receiving clear comments about yourself and others through understanding of your own process
Duration:
- A group personal development session lasts 1.5 – 2 hours
- A themed workshop (for personal development) can be 2, 4 or 6 hours, depending on the theme and objectives set for the workshop
Key specifics:
- Many groups are designed to target a specific problem, such as social anxiety, chronic pain or substance abuse, or they focus more generally on improving social skills, helping people deal with a range of issues such as anger, shyness, loneliness and low self-esteem.
- Group therapy assures individuals that they are not alone and that other individuals share similar problems and struggles. The famous psychiatrist Dr. Irvin David Yalom, one of the acknowledged gurus of group therapy, terms this the principle of universality.
- Group therapy offers the opportunity to both receive support from others and to give support to others. Both of these notions are important in treatment. Receiving support from others is part of the bonding or therapeutic alliance that occurs in groups, whereas giving support to others allows for growth and learning.
- Group therapy helps individuals develop communication skills and socialization skills, and allows clients to learn how to express their issues and accept criticism from others.
- Group therapy allows individuals to develop self-awareness by listening to others with similar issues.
- Individuals in group therapy can model the successful behaviors of other individuals who have gone through similar experiences. Modeling is a form of learning where individuals learn by copying or imitating the actions of others.

The group is facilitated by a mental health therapist. There will be maximum of 7 participants in a group.
Who can attend? Anyone aged 18 or over, who is looking to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the mechanisms of anxiety and steps to change areas that you wish to change.
What will you achieve:
- Gain an understanding of anxiety
- Identify common physiological responses that are associated with anxiety
- Understand how to make changes to break the cycle of anxiety
- Develop an action plan to begin moving out of anxiety
It brings awareness of how our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors relate to anxiety. The group allows you to be with others — from all walks of life — who are going through similar experiences. This helps you to see that anxiety shows itself in many different ways but is very similar in a lot of areas.
Investment: 75 RON / meeting
Before attending the group, you will receive information on what to expect from the group’s facilitator. Going into your first meeting you will feel prepared, comfortable, and safe. Relaxation and mindfulness exercises help you get started and finish each session with a good mindset.

What is the Personal Development Group?
The goal of the Personal Development Group is to become more aware of our impact on other people, to better understand ourselves, to discover what holds us back from living a more fulfilling life, and to learn how to have more satisfying relationships.
How does it work?
The Personal Development Group is a space where members are invited to express their here-and-now thoughts, feelings and reactions towards and about other people in their life including anger, fear, hurt, and affection. Members learn to access and express their own emotions and to comprehend and respond to the emotions of other people. They discover how they might sabotage relationships and explore how to create and sustain intimacy, to ask for what they need, and to receive it.
Commitment: This is a 6 months program, with one 1.5-hour workshop each week, delivered via zoom or in-person.
Cost: The group fee is 100 RON per week. Members are renting a space in the group and are charged for every session, regardless of attendance.
